Tristan Peters supplied the only offense worth noting in the finale, going 1-for-4 with a home run and 2 RBI — both of Chicago's runs in the 11-2 defeat.
The loss didn't cost them their spot atop the division: the White Sox remain first in the AL Central, with Cleveland 2.5 games back.

Kay's last time out was a loss to Atlanta on August 20 — six innings, two earned runs, six strikeouts against one walk on 94 pitches. deGrom was dominant in his own last start that same day, beating Washington with six shutout innings, ten strikeouts, one walk and just a single hit allowed on 94 pitches.
The market favors Texas even with the White Sox at home, and the total points to a low-scoring night — not a surprise given deGrom is fresh off one of his best starts of the year and Kay has kept the ball in the yard in his own recent outings. If Chicago is going to flip that number, it likely needs a lineup missing Benintendi to find more than the two runs it managed against the Rangers a night earlier.
