This series refused to break. The Cavs grabbed Game 5 in overtime on the road after a controversial no-call, then watched Detroit punch them in the mouth 115-94 back at Rocket Arena — Cleveland's first home loss of the 2026 playoffs. Now they fly back to Detroit for a winner-take-all on the Pistons' floor.
Cade Cunningham was the engine in Game 6 with 21, and Jalen Duren bullied the interior for 15 and 11 with 3 blocks. That's the formula Detroit has to repeat: get Duren involved early, let Cade orchestrate, and survive the Donovan Mitchell hero-ball stretches that have been swinging games all series.

Cleveland's problem in Game 6 was simple — Mitchell went 6-for-20 with 3 turnovers and Evan Mobley couldn't anchor the paint against Duren. James Harden led them with 21, which says everything about how the offense looked. If Mitchell shows up, the Cavs have the higher ceiling. If he gets bothered into another bad-shot night, this could get ugly fast in a hostile building.

- Day-To-DayLarry Nance Jr. F — Nance (illness) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Pistons.

- Day-To-DayKevin Huerter G — Huerter (adductor) is questionable for Sunday's Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Cavaliers.
- Day-To-DayDuncan Robinson F — Robinson is listed as questionable for Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Cavaliers on Sunday due to lower-back soreness.
- Day-To-DayCaris LeVert G — LeVert (heel) is questionable for Sunday's Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Cavaliers.
Detroit's injury sheet is the bigger concern: Kevin Huerter (adductor), Caris LeVert (heel), and Duncan Robinson (lower back) are all questionable. That's three rotation pieces for a team that already plays Cunningham heavy minutes. Cleveland gets off easier — Larry Nance Jr. is doubtful with an illness, but he's not a swing piece in this matchup.
The market has Detroit -5 at home with the moneyline at -188, which feels about right for a Game 7 with home court and a healthy Cade. Cleveland at +168 is the live underdog if Mitchell remembers he's an All-NBA guard. The total sits at 206.5, a number that bakes in the playoff-grind shooting we've seen — six games of this series have been ground out in the half court, and Game 7 won't be the one that suddenly opens up.
Game 7s in this building have a way of getting weird. Detroit's crowd will be unhinged, the bench production will swing it, and somebody on a questionable tag is going to limp out there and play 32 minutes. Get the popcorn.
