Look at the schedule before you buy the Monday glow, though. Dallas played the late game in Philadelphia and gets a short week before hosting on Sunday. And AT&T Stadium hasn't been a fortress lately. Both of the Cowboys' home games in this 5-game stretch were losses, 34-31 to Baltimore and 24-16 to Tampa Bay, while the 2 wins came on the road at Houston and Philadelphia. It's also worth remembering what that Eagles team was: Jalen Hurts is expected to miss the rest of the season with blood clots in his lungs, Tanner McKee started, and Philadelphia has now lost 5 straight.
Arizona's only win in its last 5 came on the road, 18-16 at the Rams. The Cardinals have dropped 10 straight at State Farm Stadium, a franchise record, so getting out of the desert hasn't hurt them. The problem is the defense. It gave up 36 to San Francisco, 36 to the Giants and 45 to Detroit in consecutive weeks before Denver hung 30. Trey McBride is the one sure thing in this offense: 10 catches on 13 targets for 111 yards and a touchdown against the Broncos. The rest of the passing game is thin. Kendrick Bourne turned 6 targets into 9 yards, and Jalen Brooks is done for the year after wrist surgery.
The Cardinals' injury list keeps getting longer. Walter Nolen III, Andrew Wingard, Max Melton and guard Jon Gaines II are all listed out. James Conner is on IR, and LaFleur would only say "potentially" when asked about him coming back. Tip Reiman's ankle has LaFleur "not too sure" about him playing again this season. The one bit of good news is Jeremiyah Love (ankle), whom LaFleur expects to practice Wednesday. A healthy Love would give this backfield a real threat, which Bam Knight and Tyler Allgeier haven't been. For Dallas, the questions are on the second level: P.J. Locke and Marist Liufau are on IR, and Dee Winters and Tyrus Wheat were inactive Monday. Kickoff is 12:00 PM CT, and Wednesday's practice reports will matter more than usual.
