Both teams were a single gutted possession away from the conference title picture last January. Now the Eagles and Jaguars settle the score across the Atlantic, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Jalen Hurts and Trevor Lawrence both know exactly how their 2025 seasons ended, and neither ending was pretty. Hurts watched a fourth-and-11 heave to Dallas Goedert fall incomplete in a 23-19 Wild Card loss to the 49ers, while Lawrence threw three touchdowns in a furious fourth quarter and still lost 27-24 to the Bills. Both quarterbacks are back, both offenses look different, and both get their first real test of the new stuff against each other in London.

New Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion has Hurts operating more from under center this camp, and early reports have Hurts looking quicker and getting to open space more readily than he did a year ago. Jacksonville, on the other hand, isn't rebuilding anything — this is year 2 of Liam Coen's scheme, and Lawrence is reportedly seeing the field well and pushing the operation forward after an offseason spent getting stronger instead of rehabbing.

Both teams treated their preseason openers as exactly that. The Eagles fell 24-7 to the Ravens with Andy Dalton and Cole Payton under center instead of Hurts, while the Jaguars beat the Saints 24-20 with Lawrence and most of the regular starters held out entirely. None of it tells you much about October, but it's the first real look at either roster since the playoff exits.

This will be the Eagles' first trip to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium — they beat Jacksonville 24-18 at Wembley back in 2018, the last time these two shared a London bill. The Jaguars are the de facto home team again, hosting a second straight London game against Houston the following week, but a neutral-site crowd is a different animal than a normal Sunday at EverBank Stadium.

Camp attrition is already a factor on both sides. Philadelphia has had DeVonta Smith working back from a hamstring issue and three different defensive backs — Cooper DeJean, Quinyon Mitchell and Tariq Castro-Fields — missing practice time in the same stretch, while pass rusher Jonathan Greenard isn't expected back for weeks. Jacksonville's concerns are lighter so far, mostly tied to depth pieces like Jack Kiser's knee, but there's a lot of camp and six games left for either side before this one actually kicks off.
