Favre, Green's old Packers quarterback, revealed his own Parkinson's diagnosis in 2024, which means two of the faces of that early-2000s Green Bay offense are now both dealing with the same disease. That's not a coincidence anyone can definitively explain yet, but it's exactly the kind of pattern that keeps fueling the broader conversation about football, repeated head trauma, and long-term neurological health.

Green hasn't come out and blamed his playing career for the diagnosis, and there's no clean scientific line connecting the two. But he has leaned into being open about it rather than hiding it, saying he wants it to be something people talk about instead of something that gets buried.
