Barstool Rust 1v1: W_B_Rick, nickturani, Katiemoneygrabz

The Bush's Call of Duty side has spent the week teasing this one, and on Thursday evening it finally dropped. It's a full 1v1 bracket of Barstool people on Rust, the tiny oil-rig map from the old MW2 days that has settled more trash-talk arguments than any map in history. Quick scopes, no scopes, nowhere to hide. The bracket went up about 5 minutes before the video did, so everyone could pick their winners before hitting play.

This has been building for a bit. The Bush gaming account was already talking up the first-ever Bush 1v1 tournament with Barstool employees back around September 17, pitching it as OG MW2 Rust. Thursday was the payoff: the full video went live, and the account spent the rest of the night pulling highlights out of it. Mostly, those highlights are people falling apart on a map the size of a studio apartment.

Absolute PANIC from @Katiemoneygrabz on Rust 😅

Katiemoneygrabz had the clip of the night. The Bush put it out with one word, PANIC, and on Rust that's pretty much the whole game plan once somebody spots you across the rig.

nickturani brought the trash talk, and it's a deep cut. The line in the clip is "I'm FaZe Banks where's my Chrome," which is straight out of the era when FaZe clips and chrome guns on Rust were the whole internet. If you get the reference you're old, and if you don't, the ice-cold emoji on the post tells you everything.

W_B_Rick's first-round matchup got billed as the battle of Who's Who, and the account says he came out hot. Then there's Zac, who took it seriously enough to show up with thumb stick attachments. That's either real commitment or the best excuse anybody's got lined up if he goes out early. Nobody in the rollout said who took the whole thing, so you'll have to watch it yourself to find out.

It's offseason content, basically a bunch of Barstool people yelling at each other over a 17-year-old map, and that's exactly why it works. The Bush is also asking fans to hype the video on mobile and comment which tournament they want to see next, so the next bracket is up to whoever shows up in the comments.
