The Yak Gauntlet has become one of those Barstool bits that quietly turned into appointment viewing — a physical challenge bolted to a trivia gauntlet, with a leaderboard that guests actually care about. Enter Alex Karaban, fresh off another deep UConn run, walking in and immediately stamping his name at the top of the guest board.
The full run: the floor work, the Grab Bag 34 trivia screen, and Karaban landing at #1 with a 1:05.80.
1:05.80 in the College Sports/Other division. That's the number to beat now, and given how loaded that leaderboard tends to get with actual Division I athletes rolling through, it's not a soft record. Karaban moved through the physical portion clean and then survived a trivia round that included a Magic School Bus question, which is honestly the harder half of the Gauntlet for most guests.

The UConn angle is what made the rest of the day funny. Jeff D. Lowe — proud Husky — jumped in to point out that UConn is now repping both ends of the Record Book, top AND bottom, which is the kind of stat only a fanbase that's been through the emotional wringer of three Final Fours would brag about.
Lowe leaning into the UConn-is-everywhere bit with a clip of a Husky fully losing it on the court.
Sponsored by BODYARMOR, recorded for posterity, and now wedged into the Yak lore — Karaban's number is the new bar. Somewhere a future Gauntlet guest is watching the tape and doing math. Good luck.
