Every once in a while a podcast bit walks itself into something genuinely charming, and that's exactly what happened on the 6/10 Yak. The crew got obsessed with the existence of Balltown, Iowa — a real, incorporated, 79-person dot in Dubuque County, home to Breitbach's Country Dining — and instead of just goofing on the name, they actually booked the mayor.

Mayor Sherri Sigwarth showed up via webcam in a green top, framed by a window and some artwork that screamed small-town Iowa living room, and from the second the chyron hit the screen the bit was made. This is the platonic ideal of regional humor — a town literally called Balltown having a mayor sit for a Barstool interview without a hint of irony from either side.

From there it spiraled the way every good Yak segment spirals. Big Cat pulled up Google Maps and the Wikipedia page mid-stream so the audience could verify, yes, this place exists, yes, it has 79 people, and yes, it's home to what locals will tell you is the oldest bar/restaurant in Iowa. The screen-share became a whole second bit on its own.

The capper was KB angling — not subtly — for a key to the town, which the mayor seemed open to entertaining. Stoolies immediately ran with the angle that the real flex isn't a key, it's being able to say you were born there.
