The Yak crew's long-teased trip to Cooperstown, Wisconsin finally dropped, and it's cliff jumps, mowed-field patterns and a Roman candle fight gone sideways.

  1. The vlog trailer opens with drone shots over a rock quarry cliff and a field mowed into spiral patterns before cutting to the crew relaxing in the sun

The Yak has been building to this one for weeks. Back in July, the show sat down with Nick Propson, the self-styled 'Mayor' of Cooperstown, Wisconsin, and by the end of that conversation a full crew trip to his town was basically inevitable. That trip finally happened, and the recap video is out.

Yak Vlog from Cooperstown, Wisconsin is premiering now on @BarstoolYak. Go check it out:

The footage covers a lot of ground for one trip. There's cliff jumping into a green quarry pond, a field carved up into circular mowed patterns with smoke drifting through it, and general horseplay that includes at least one guy getting hoisted off the ground by his arms. It's the kind of chaotic, plotless content the Yak crew built its brand on — no game, no bit, just a group of guys let loose in rural Wisconsin for a few days.

  2. A convertible trails smoke across the field near the mowed patterns

The headline moment, though, is the Roman candle fight. "There was no way of knowing that the Roman Candle fight was going to get out of control," as one tweet put it, and the footage backs that up — a convertible dragging smoke across the field, guys ducking through the haze, and a shot of someone's leg with what looks like a burn or rash from the fireworks. Given Propson reportedly offered to oversee exactly this kind of stunt when he first came on the show, it tracks that things escalated fast once the crew actually got to town.

The crew pushed the video out across every account they've got, which is standard operating procedure whenever the Yak drops something they think is a banger — and calling it "the best Cooperstown footage you will ever see" isn't exactly false advertising given how much ground the trip covers. Between the quarry jumps, the field patterns and the fireworks fight, it's the kind of loose, unscripted content that keeps people showing up to a show that's basically just guys hanging out on camera.

Whether this turns into a recurring bit — Propson already sounds like he's angling for a permanent role as the Yak's Wisconsin tour guide — is the thing to watch. If the mayor comes back on the show to recap the fallout from the Roman candle fight, that's the next piece of this story.
