Big Cat Is Turning Wrigley's 50/50 Into His Own Personal ATM

Days after finally winning the Cubs' 50/50 raffle for the first time, Big Cat cashed in again — and gave it all away.

Big Cat had reportedly been chasing a 50/50 win at Wrigley Field for years before it finally happened earlier this week, turning into a whole moment complete with an oversized check and a viral wave on the video board. Most people would take that story and ride it out for the rest of the summer. Big Cat went back to the ballpark and did it again.

The update came straight from the concourse, selfie-video style, surrounded by his guys. The game itself, in his words, was gross. But the overhead screen behind him told a different story: another winning ticket, another 50/50 hit, days removed from his first one. That's not luck, that's a heater.

Please address me as a TWO time 50/50 winner going forward. Also all winnings are going to my guy @LavontSr and https://t.co/90VJnQU6Xy I’m just in this for the love of the game, and I LOVE this game

The Cubs' 50/50 raffle runs through Cubs Charities, meaning half the pot goes to the winner and half funds the organization's community work around Chicago — so every ticket sold is technically for a good cause even before anybody's number gets called. Big Cat didn't even bother keeping this one. He's sending the winnings straight to his guy Lavont, no hesitation, because apparently he's just in it for the love of the game.

I’m going to wave my Dick off at the next big check night. I may never stop waving. I’m already practicing

There's already talk of a signature celebration in the works for whenever the next giant novelty check shows up, which, given the pace he's on, might be sooner than anyone expects. Two wins in a short stretch is the kind of run that gets people at the ballpark looking at you sideways, and Big Cat's crew isn't shy about pointing that out either.

Twice in less than 100 games in between for a 50/50 counts as a heater, right?

Big Cat himself put it plainly: he's probably 1-2 wins away from actually being in the black on all the raffle tickets he's bought over the years, but right now the run speaks for itself. Whether Wrigley Field's raffle gods keep smiling on him or this was lightning striking twice, Big Cat has officially earned the two-time-winner title he's demanding everyone use going forward.
