Cam Ward threatens podium walkout after Titans fall to 0-4

TLDR: Cam Ward threatened to walk off the podium while he waited out his teammates' locker room interviews after Sunday's 24-18 loss in Baltimore, the Titans' 4th straight to open the season.
The loss was rough enough. Then came the wait at the podium, and the moment that went around the internet faster than anything Tennessee did on the field.
“Imma walkout” Cam Ward was upset waiting for the media to wrap up with his teammates in the locker room
Per reports from the room, Ward checked the clock, said "We got three minutes left," then added a short warning: "Walk out." He drummed his fingers on the podium while the media finished with his teammates in the locker room. In the end he stayed and took the questions. Still, a 2nd-year franchise QB putting a stopwatch on the press after a 4th straight loss is not a great look, and Barstool's gambling side said exactly that.
Look at the context. The Titans are 0-4, and Ward's record as a starter is now 3-18. Sunday's game was not even one of his worse ones: 20-of-31 for 222 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception, and a late scoring drive to make it close. The killers were in the 1st half. Ward tried to escape a sack with a backwards flip to Tony Pollard that Pollard wasn't expecting, and Trenton Simpson picked it off. Then rookie Carnell Tate fumbled before halftime, and Baltimore kicked a field goal at the buzzer to go up 24-7.
Tate was the bright spot, with 9 catches for 145 yards. Tennessee then went 3-and-out 3 times in a row across the 2nd and 3rd quarters, while Lamar Jackson was dealing with an ankle injury. A team with a real offense puts that game away. This one ran out of time.
The national chatter about Ward had already soured before he got to the podium. On Wake Up Barstool last week, Big Cat put the Titans 30th in his power rankings and pointed straight at the QB, citing a goal-line interception from the 7-yard line on the last possession of a 5-point game.
“Their defense is keeping them in games. Cam Ward has maybe regressed.” – Big Cat
That's the problem in a sentence. The defense keeps Tennessee in games and the offense gives them away, and the guy who's supposed to fix that is now in the news for his patience instead of his play. Nobody is going to remember a few impatient seconds at a podium if the Titans win. At 0-4, though, every clip like this becomes evidence in the case against him, and Ward just gave everyone a new one. The only way to make it go away is to start winning, and soon.
