Chef Donny joins Dana Beers on One More, out October 14

TLDR: Chef Donny is the guest on the new One More with Dana Beers, out October 14, with a college business, a monastery stay, an internship and a 6-month prove-it deal in Chicago on the table.
Dana Beers didn't hold back on the pitch. He called his guest a fascinating person and listed the stops himself.
Chef Don has an absolutely wild story. Starting a business in college, living at a monastery, becoming @DonnieDoesWorld intern, getting a six month prove it contract in Chicago, etc. Just a fascinating person. Please give it a watch and a like if you enjoy t.co/kNo4zGW33p
That's a lot of road for a guy most Stoolies know as the cooking guy. Before the kitchen, Donny started a cooking company in college and went backpacking around the world, according to Barstool's own listing for the episode. Then came the move that got him in the door: interning in China for The Wonton Don, aka DonnieDoesWorld, and filming in back alleys back in Barstool's early, scrappier days. Donny went over that era with Don on a podcast too, so the China years aren't new to diehards. The monastery is the stop Dana flagged that nobody has heard the full story on yet.

About that caption. When a host promises his guest "definitely did not eat dog in Cambodia," he's teasing a story from the episode and daring you to go find out how it ends. We aren't calling that one either way. You'll have to watch it.
The part that should land hardest with longtime fans is the 6-month prove-it contract in Chicago. Donny's career at Barstool started as an intern abroad and turned into a real deal stateside, which is about as Barstool as a career path gets. These days his What's for Lunch show comes out of a full kitchen in Chicago, and he's competed on Food Network's Chopped. The prove-it deal is how he got there, and One More is the format that lets him tell it at his own pace.
That's the One More formula: a round table, a couple of beers, and a Barstool personality going through the whole story instead of the 30-second version. Wednesday has become Dana's day, and the clubhouse crowd is already floating merch for it.
Wednesdays are for Dana Beers! Maybe start a t shirt brand called Wednesday Beers???
Dana's ask was simple: give it a watch and a like if you enjoy it. If you only know Donny as the guy making lunch, this is the episode that explains how he got that kitchen.
