GRIT Week is the kind of stunt PMT does better than anybody — pile up guests, build content in the field, slap a sponsor banner on it, and ride the vibes. This year the boys parked themselves in Louisiana, and the cornerstone of the whole thing was getting Ed Orgeron in the chair 24 hours before he officially re-upped with LSU. You cannot script that timing.
The setup on the Coach O interview and the LSU timing.
The pod itself delivered. Coach O held court on the state of Louisiana, on Mike the Tiger associating him with violence, on what it actually feels like to walk into the hoods, and — best of all — on the exact second he knew Brian Kelly was cooked at LSU. Spoiler: it was the fake accent. Coach O said it on tape, the players saw it, the fans saw it, and the rest is history.

GRIT Week is not just one pod though, that's the whole point. The crew also did construction with Blake Bortles and Roc Solid Foundation, broke down Joe Brady's old game plan that gave peak Saban fits, threw out a Tyler Shough first-team All-Pro flyer, and ran a meet-and-greet in New Orleans with Twisted Tea. It's the PMT playbook — go somewhere, do everything, leave nothing on the table.

And then there's Zac, who somehow stole the week with the most Zac-coded bit imaginable: his stated life dream of eating a Reese's on Bourbon Street. Not winning a Super Bowl. Not interviewing the President. A peanut butter cup. On Bourbon. That's the whole show in one clip, and honestly it's why GRIT Week works — the big guests are the engine, but the dumb little moments are the fuel.

Coach O cosigned the boys as part of the code, which is about the highest compliment a Louisiana lifer can hand out. Between him, Brady, Bortles, and a city that was basically built for this kind of week, GRIT Week is delivering exactly what it advertised. Now somebody just get Zac his Reese's.
