Every workplace has its sacred bonds. At Barstool, apparently one of them involves a group of guys, an onion volcano, and a pact about when it is and is not acceptable to sit at a hibachi table. And on Thursday, that pact got dragged into the public square.
It started innocently enough. Clem floated the idea of expanding the crew, suggesting Frank get a seat at the next meet-up. A friendly little roster move. Nothing to see here.
That's when WSD came in with the receipts. According to him, deeply connected and trustworthy sources had already ratted Clem out — the guy had reportedly been hitting hibachi solo dolo, in direct violation of whatever brotherhood was forged at the original dinner. The three thinking-face emojis did most of the heavy lifting.
Clem's defense was immediate and, honestly, lawyerly. The pact, he insists, was never about exclusivity. It was about togetherness — a clause only triggered when the full crew is in the same city. And the reason that's never happened? WSD apparently won't get on a plane to Chicago. Classic deflection or airtight loophole, you decide.
This is the kind of dumb, perfect internet beef that Barstool runs on. Grown men, allegedly serious professionals, publicly arguing over the terms of a hibachi treaty while Eddie, Langone, and Chief sit there tagged in like reluctant jurors. Add Frank to the next one or don't — at this point the only fair resolution is getting everyone in a room with a chef who can flip a shrimp into his hat.
