The Yak grills Jake Malasek over his wedding tan suit

TLDR: Jake Malasek showed up to a black tie optional wedding in a tan suit, and The Yak spent part of Monday's show roasting him for it while he sat on a video call.
The prosecution opened with a Google search, and the case only got worse for Malasek from there.
That's the whole problem. Black tie optional doesn't mean wear whatever you want. Per the AI Overview the crew put on screen, the options are a traditional tuxedo or a very formal, dark business suit. A tan suit is neither of those. It's what you wear to a summer wedding in a vineyard, not to one where the invite is basically asking you to look like a Bond villain.
Then the crew found something better than Google. Malasek has a TikTok on his own account captioned 'Black tie optional. Not optional.' They put it on screen and cut straight back to him on the couch, smiling like a guy who knows exactly what's coming.
Jake Malasek is code switching on TikTok
The 'code switching' jab is the crew teasing the gap between TikTok Malasek, who apparently has firm opinions on formalwear, and the guy on the call who just admitted to a tan suit. On the show, the TikTok worked as evidence against him. 'Not optional' was his own line, and he went and treated it as optional anyway.
This is the Yak at its best. Nothing happened. A guy wore the wrong suit to a wedding. But give the room a dress code, a Google result and a receipt from the defendant's own account, and it turns into a full segment. Malasek knew the rule well enough to make content about it, and that's why there's no defending him here.
There's no word yet on whether the couple noticed or whether anyone at the reception said anything. If Malasek wants to clear his name, the move is obvious: post a follow-up TikTok in a tuxedo. Until then, his own caption is the best case against him.
