Jake Malasek pulls it off and Barstool crowns him

TLDR: Jake Malasek landed whatever he set out to get on Saturday morning, and within minutes Big Cat and Steven Cheah were calling him glorious and the GOAT.
The reaction came before the explanation. Just before 3PM ET Saturday, Steven Cheah skipped any setup and handed down a ruling.
Big Cat posted in the same minute with a photo of his own, and his wording tells you about as much as anything on file: Jake did something, there is a picture of him having done it, and he looks glorious in it. That is high praise from the man who signs off on half the office's bits.
Malasek has done this kind of thing for a while. He is a former reserve goalie for the Virginia men's lacrosse team, he ran UVA's Barstool account before landing in the New York office, and in 2025 he played for Czechia at the European Lacrosse Championships while working full time at Barstool. When a guy has already found a way into international lacrosse between content shifts, a building full of coworkers losing it over his latest win is not much of a surprise.
Around 7 minutes after Big Cat's post, the clip accounts caught up with the same energy, all caps and 3 exclamation points, because some wins don't need anything more than that.
HE DID IT!!!
Jack Kennedy added a photo of his own a little over an hour later, so that's a third host signing on before the afternoon was over. None of the posts spells out exactly what Malasek pulled off, and the pictures carry the punchline. Here's what you can say for sure: when Big Cat, Cheah and Kenjac all show up the same day to crown a guy, it's his day. Expect Malasek to hear about it, for better or worse, on the Yak Monday.
