Big Cat tells Jersey Jerry that Bo Nix is bad

TLDR: On the Thursday Night Football edition of Barstool Sports Advisors, Jersey Jerry said nobody knows if Bo Nix is good, and Big Cat answered that he is bad.

Denver hosted the defending champs on TNF, so the Advisors spent part of the show on the Broncos quarterback. Jerry started it.

This is a fair question for a third-year guy, which is what makes it so annoying. Nix went in the first round in 2024, started as a rookie and took Denver to the playoffs. In year 2 he won the division and a playoff game. That résumé should have settled it by now. It hasn't, and the 2026 version of Nix has people wondering again. The Broncos went into Thursday at 3-2, and the noise has gotten loud enough that at least 1 outlet is predicting a benching, arguing the problem "isn't the plays but the player."

Jerry played it as the neutral guy, saying the jury is still out. Big Cat didn't want a jury. When the question came back around, he gave about the shortest answer the show has ever had.

No hedging and no "let's see how the next month goes." Just bad. That's the Sports Advisors formula working the way it's supposed to. Jerry is the guy who will talk himself in circles over a pick, and Big Cat is the guy who ends the circle with 3 words. You can argue with Big Cat, but you can't say he didn't commit.

Thursday night was a good test of whether Big Cat is right. Seattle came to Empower Field as the defending Super Bowl champions, also at 3-2. The case for Nix is that he has been better under the lights: he went into the game 7-2 in his career in prime time. Sam Darnold, on the other sideline, had won all 6 of his prime-time starts since joining Seattle in 2025. Something had to give.

So the next thing to watch is what Nix does with a national audience and 2 Barstool guys keeping score. If he plays well, Jerry's "nobody knows" gets to live another week. If he plays badly, Big Cat gets the receipt and will play it back on the next episode. Either way, Nix is now a running bit on the show, and those don't usually go away after 1 Thursday.
