OhioTate wanted Blake Snell pulled, then Snell dealt

TLDR: OhioTate's Chalktober play needed Blake Snell to allow 12 or fewer combined hits, runs and walks in NLCS Game 3, and after 1 pitch he was screaming for Snell to come out.
Chalktober day 14 came with a simple line and a promise attached. Here's how OhioTate set it up right before first pitch.
Chalktober 14th starts now. If Snell gets to 10 Hits / Runs / Walks, I will start streaming. 12 and Under is a winner
Ohio’s Tate@OhioTateI usually give some sort of corny, sarcastic explanation for my Chalktober play But tonight I’m talking directly to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts If Blake Snell gives up more than 12 Hits / Earned Runs / Walks (-1100) tonight, then shame on you for not going to a well rested bullpen in a Must Win game Either he shuts them down or they yank him early $325.44 to win $355.02 🎃
So 12 and under cashes, and 10 means OhioTate starts streaming. It's not a crazy number for a 2-time Cy Young winner at home, with the Dodgers trying to climb out of a 2-0 series hole against Milwaukee. Then Jackson Chourio swung at the very first pitch of the night, a 97.6 mph four-seamer right down the middle, and hit it 391 feet to right-center at 106.1 mph off the bat. Brewers 1, Dodgers 0, before Joe Davis had finished settling in. Less than 10 minutes after posting the bet, OhioTate had seen enough.
To be fair to the panic, this is a real problem for Snell. Chourio and George Springer are now the only players with 2 first-pitch leadoff homers in the postseason, and Snell is the only pitcher to give up 2 of them, after Davis Schneider took him deep on the first pitch in last year's World Series. The swing also gave Chourio 6 career postseason home runs, the most in Brewers history. If you had Snell's walks-plus-hits-plus-runs under, you've just watched the counter tick twice on a single swing.
Here's where it turned. Snell didn't come out, and he didn't fall apart either. He started punching guys out, and by the middle innings the strikeout count was the story, not the leadoff bomb.
That's 8 strikeouts from the guy who apparently didn't have it tonight. Every out without a baserunner is a free inning for the under, and Snell started stacking them, which made the 1st-inning meltdown look worse and worse.
Retiring 14 straight after giving up a first-pitch homer is about as good as starting pitching gets, and it's also the kind of dealing that loses a game 1-0 if the offense doesn't show up. That's the catch for Los Angeles: through 6 the Dodgers still hadn't scored, and they can't afford a 3-0 hole against the Brewers. For OhioTate, the betting lesson is the usual one. The ticket was fine the whole time. Only the guy holding it had a problem. Whether the under cashes comes down to how long Dave Roberts rides Snell, and there's a funny version where OhioTate is the one pleading to leave him in.
