Jordan Love and wife dress as blind refs for Halloween

TLDR: Jordan Love and his wife dressed as blind referees for Halloween, a pretty pointed costume from a quarterback who just watched a 20-17 loss in Detroit swing on the flags.
If you wondered whether the Packers had moved on from the Lions game, the answer came in black and white stripes.
It's a party skit, not game film, but nobody needs it explained. On October 25 the Packers lost 20-17 to Detroit, and the officiating took over the whole conversation. Brenton Cox Jr. got flagged for roughing the passer after Lions center Cade Mays tripped him and he fell into Jared Goff, who had already thrown the ball. Tom Brady disagreed with the call on the FOX broadcast. Love himself got hit with an intentional grounding in the 4th quarter on a throw toward Tucker Kraft that the ref ruled didn't reach the line of scrimmage. That put Green Bay in 2nd-and-21, up 17-14.
Then there's the number that made it personal. A stat going around after the game said Love hasn't drawn a single roughing the passer penalty this season even though no quarterback has been hit more. So the joke basically writes itself.

That's a joke, but it isn't totally a joke. Refs aren't supposed to hold a grudge over a costume, and they probably won't. Still, a QB who already can't buy a flag just went public about it in front of the whole league, sunglasses and cane included. The Monday after the Detroit game, Wake Up Barstool wasn't laughing about the roughing call at all.
“The intentional grounding was brutal, but that roughing the passer, that's disgusting. That was the worst roughing the passer of the season.”
Everyone in Green Bay pretty much agreed. Xavier McKinney said after the game, "I'm not a big fan of the refs right now." Matt LaFleur played it safe and said he didn't want to comment on any of the penalties. Love's wife had already taken her own shot before the costume, posting a TikTok lip-sync to audio that says "there are so many things I could say to you right now, and I'm gonna say nothing." The costume is the part where she quit pretending to say nothing.
So the Love household has officially joined the Packers' beef with the refs. The thing to watch now is the first time Love takes a late shot. If a flag finally comes out, the costume gets credit. If it doesn't, Barstool already called it.
