4 men arrested in 49ers DL Keion White shooting

TLDR: Police have arrested 4 men in the February 9 shooting of 49ers defensive lineman Keion White at a San Francisco nightclub, and prosecutors have already charged 2 of them, including the alleged gunman.

Eight months after White was shot at his own Super Bowl party, the case finally has names attached to it, and 2 of them were in court Wednesday.

Quick refresher on what happened. Just after 4 a.m. on February 9, White was hosting a private Super Bowl party at Dahlia, a nightclub in the Mission District, when he was shot in the right ankle. He had surgery at a local hospital. San Francisco Police Chief Derrick Lew put it bluntly this week: "multiple suspects with firearms confronted White."

Here are the charges. Gregory Walker, 36, of Mountain House, is the one police say pulled the trigger. He's charged with assault with a semiautomatic firearm and with being a felon in possession of a gun, and prosecutors want him held without bail. Curtis Green, 35, faces misdemeanor counts for brandishing a weapon and carrying a concealed loaded firearm. That's a long way from attempted murder, but he's in the case.

The other 2 men are what pushed the count to 4. Marquis Davis, 38, was picked up in Atlanta and Antoine Washington, 36, in Stockton. Neither has been charged in San Francisco yet because neither is in custody there. Their charges should come once they're transferred.

This wasn't a quick sweep. The SFPD called it Operation D-Line, which is a pretty good name for a case about a defensive lineman. It ran more than 50 search warrants across California and Georgia and used more than 250 law enforcement personnel. Police say they also seized guns and nearly 15 pounds of narcotics in the raids. Investigators built the case from video footage and witness accounts, with help from departments in Atlanta, Stockton, Irvine and Los Angeles.

The football side of this is the best part. A gunshot wound to the ankle could easily have cost White the season. Instead he's played in all 5 of San Francisco's games, started 4 of them and already has 3 sacks. The 49ers got him before the 2025 trade deadline, and he's playing like he never missed a step.

Next up is the courtroom. Walker's bail fight is the first thing to watch, and then charges for Davis and Washington once they land in San Francisco. White has his own job to keep doing on Sundays. What matters most is that the guys accused of shooting him are finally answering for it.
