Mostly Sports Torches Alabama And Reframes The NBA Playoffs

BFW called Alabama's program soft on Mostly Sports, Brandon Walker fired back, and Mark Titus argued these NBA playoffs are exactly what fans asked for.

Tuesday's Mostly Sports went straight for the throat of college football's most untouchable brand. BFW looked at what Alabama has become in the post-Saban era and basically said the quiet part into the microphone — this isn't Bama football anymore, this is something softer wearing the same crimson.

BFW says Alabama plays 'pussy football' now and Brandon Walker immediately pushes back with the resume.

The Florida State game in the Tallahassee heat is the exhibit BFW keeps coming back to — a physical second-half beatdown that, in his read, told you everything about how this program is being coached. Walker's counter is the part that makes it a real segment instead of a rant: 8 straight wins, 4 straight ranked SEC teams beaten. Both things can be true, and that's why the bit works.

BFW pivots from Bama to a take on Vikings QB JJ McCarthy.

From there it slid into JJ McCarthy territory, which is its own can of worms — a former national champ QB whose rookie year basically didn't happen, walking into a Vikings job everyone in the building has an opinion on. It's the kind of take that only really lands on a show like this, where the host can spend 4 minutes on a guy without a producer pulling him off.

Mark Titus argues the NBA playoffs just delivered exactly what fans had been asking for.

And Titus's NBA point is the one that should age the best. For years the league has been the 5-to-7-superstar lottery — if your team doesn't have one of the chosen, you're cosplaying as a contender. This postseason cracked that, and as Titus put it, that's the thing fans have been screaming about for a decade. Be careful what you wish for, but for now? They got it.
