Surviving Barstool Season 5 premiered August 9 with 18 coworkers grinding for a $250,000 prize, and after three episodes of alliances and blindsides, tonight's episode is bringing back a challenge fans have wanted buried for good.

We are BACK TONIGHT with the next episode of #SurvivingBarstool after a big premiere week. The return of a classic challenge is here, and as always it ramps up the intensity and emotions. See you tonight at 5e on Rumble, and 8e everywhere else.
Jeff D. Lowe, hosting the season, didn't name the challenge outright but promised it 'ramps up the intensity and emotions' — which, if you've watched this show before, is code for someone crying in a confessional by the end of the night. Episode 4 drops at 5et on Rumble for subscribers before hitting everywhere else at 8et.
Megan was blunter about which challenge is coming back, and she's not exactly thrilled about it even while telling everyone to tune in.

Don’t give me the rock (Fucking hated this challenge and now they run it back a 3rd time) BUT WATCH TONIGHT
'Don't give me the rock' has apparently been run twice already on this show, and Megan says this is the 3rd time producers are dusting it off. Fan-hated challenges getting recycled is a Survivor-format tradition going back decades — the producers know a challenge people love to complain about is still a challenge people will watch, which is basically the entire business model of reality TV.
Meanwhile there's a subplot brewing around how Dante actually looks tonight. Kelly Keegs took a shot at the show's graphics team for distorting people's faces in on-screen graphics, and Dante wasted no time agreeing — and naming names.

@kellykeegs Insane hack job on me yet again. Nice work @GrahamHaupt
The Stoolies Clubhouse account piled on with a photo poking fun at just how off Dante's on-screen likeness looks, which is the kind of low-stakes bit that keeps a fandom engaged between actual episode drops.

None of that changes the actual stakes tonight: a challenge the cast and fanbase have hated twice before is back for a 3rd run, and with $250,000 still on the line, whoever draws the short straw in it is going to feel it. Catch episode 4 at 5et on Rumble or 8et everywhere else.
