That was 2 weeks ago, when the topic was things not worth overpaying for. This week's topic was nostalgia. Eddie brought on Clem and Jack Kennedy, and each guy had to fill 5 slots: 1 TV show or movie, 1 sports thing, 1 store, 1 restaurant and 1 food or beverage. That's a pretty wide board, and the sports slot was always going to be where the arguments started.

The Apple Cup makes the teaser, which tells you the sports picks weren't the obvious ones. The pick that actually got people talking was Clem's in round 2, pick 5: the traditional NFL schedule. He didn't stop at the bit, either. He posted the clip himself with a much bigger claim attached.

Bring back the traditional NFL schedule

It's a spicy take to make in October, right when everybody is locked into Sundays, but Clem gets ahead of the obvious pushback. Loving football and admitting the product has slipped can both be true, he says, and he thinks it's getting worse every year. Using a draft slot on the old schedule is a way of saying the problem is the structure of the league, not any one team. Whether you agree comes down to how much you actually enjoy the modern calendar.

Clem wasn't done with the hot takes for the day. About an hour after the NFL clip went up, he posted something just as firm about grocery strategy. The tweet never says whether Costco was anyone's store pick, so treat it as a separate Clem take from the same afternoon.

The Costco advice that @TheClemReport gave @BarstoolChief on today's snake draft was perfect. The closest one to my house closes at 8:30pm. Going there at 7:30pm compared to 5:30pm when everyone gets off work will turn that place from hell into heaven. Very well said.

That's the Clem formula: pick a hill, then tell everyone who disagrees that it's their own fault.
