Ole Miss opens as favorite in season opener vs. Louisville
Ole Miss closes the book on a 2025 season that ended with a loss to Miami and opens 2026 favored over Louisville.
Last season ended on a sour note
Ole Miss finished last season with a 27-31 loss to Miami on January 9, a defeat that closed out a stretch that had otherwise gone the Rebels' way. Before that finish, Ole Miss beat Florida 34-24 on November 16, ran past Mississippi State 38-19 on November 28, handled Tulane 41-10 on December 20 and edged Georgia 39-34 on January 2.
None of that carries into 2026. The Rebels sit at 0-0 with no games played this season, and there is no current form to speak of — last year's finish is history, not momentum.
