It started as office gossip and turned into a full-blown Barstool crossover event. Over the last day, Rone, the Yak crew, and Out & About all took turns picking apart the Austin and Hannah situation, and by Wednesday afternoon it wasn't just about the two of them anymore -- it was about who else got burned in the process.
Rone asked point-blank if Annika and Hannah's friendship could be saved, and Nicky Smokes wasn't optimistic.
That question -- can Annika and Hannah come back from this -- is really the heart of the story now. Nicky Smokes didn't hedge, calling the friendship "cooked" and saying Hannah was a bad friend to Annika through the whole thing. That's a heavier charge than anything being said about Austin, and it's why this stopped being a simple hookup rumor and turned into an office rift.
Hannah didn't sit back and take it. Pat announced a new Out & About episode with her, teasing it as the woman in the arena finally getting her say, and Kelly Keegs publicly co-signed the appearance, telling her followers to go watch Hannah handle the questions with a smile. When the episode dropped, Hannah addressed the Annika fallout directly.
Hannah responded to Keegs' question about her friendship status with Annika, saying it just fucking blows to have private conversations and details aired publicly.
Hannah's answer wasn't really a defense of Austin at all -- it was her pushing back on the idea that private stuff between her and Annika got dragged into the public version of this story. That's a different fight than the one everyone assumed was happening, and it's part of why the Yak crew kept circling back to it instead of letting it die.
Keegs said she'd never seen someone put their foot in their mouth quite like Austin, and Pat told her she's turning into a Disney villain over it.
Austin, for what it's worth, has mostly been the punching bag in all of this. Between Dave Portnoy reportedly calling him "100% compromised" and Keegs openly admitting the office hung him out to dry, the guy hasn't gotten much of a defense from anybody on record. Whether that's fair or not, it's clearly not going away -- new Out & About episodes with Hannah kept dropping through the day, and Keegs was still weighing in that evening, joking that liars gonna lie and players gonna play.
For now the actual romantic status between Austin and Hannah is still murky -- one Barstool follower even floated that Austin thought they were exclusive and Hannah didn't. What's clearer is the collateral damage: a friendship between two coworkers that multiple people on multiple shows are now saying might not survive it.
