Tuesday afternoon at Barstool World HQ went from normal office chaos to an actual fight in about 10 seconds. According to Dave Portnoy, an Uber Eats driver got into it with Gia in the hallway over her order, and when security guard Dan stepped in to tell the guy to leave, the driver attacked him instead.

We had a crazy scene today at Barstool World Hq. An uber eats driver got in a fight with Gia in the hallway over her order. Our security guard Dan went into the hall to tell the guy to leave and he attacked him. Beat him up pretty good. @stoolsalesguy saved the day pulling him off. (Thankfully it was Gaz and not Mintzy who arrived 1st) Then the rest of the troops rushed in followed by Cody and Travy for the Boys to help out. Now what we got to pay very close attention to in the security footage we pulled is how @TomScibelli (in red) handled this explosive situation. Bravery like this can not go unnoticed. Totally secured and locked down the office. The police did show up and arrest the guy. Danny may need a few stiches and a couple beers. All in all another day at the Stool. Shoutout Mandami’s NYC
Portnoy says Dan got beat up pretty good before stoolsalesguy pulled the driver off him, and that the rest of the office — including Cody and Travy — came flying in to help once word spread. Eric Nathan added the grim detail that Dan's face was busted open by the driver's helmet, and that Dan still held the guy down for 15 minutes until police showed up. Nathan also gave Cody credit for "running a 4.3 into action," which tells you how fast the room emptied out toward the noise.
Pat's account lines up with the aftermath: he says he was on the phone trying to get a mental health specialist to the scene while helping physically hold the driver down until help arrived, calling it "a big win for Barstool World HQ." The clip he posted backs that up.

Was on phone trying to get mental health specialist on the scene. Once @TomScibelli stopped screaming, I was able to hold the pig down (not @JNics415) until help arrived. Overall a big win for 'Barstool World HQ'
Not everyone's version of events was heroic. Tommy Smokes described his own role as "assessing the situation" before deciding to lock down the perimeter, which Nicky Smokes had some fun with, joking about watching Kelly sprint toward the fight while Tommy took cover. Eric Hubbs backed the bit up too, saying Tommy was on standby in case the driver "had a team coming from other angles" — a joke about how seriously the office treated a one-man scuffle, not a claim that backup actually showed up.
Once the dust settled, the tone around the building shifted to gratitude. TJ thanked Dan directly alongside stoolsalesguy, Codylanza and Shaun McDonald for jumping in, and Hubbs called Dan, Gaz and the social team "heroes" for how they handled it. For a security staff that mostly deals with delivery mix-ups and building access, it was a reminder that the job can turn physical fast — and that Dan took the worst of it protecting a coworker.
