Barstool coworkers rally around security guard Dan after Uber Eats attack

The fight itself happened Monday afternoon at Barstool's Manhattan office at 333 7th Avenue. Police say a verbal dispute over a delivery order boiled over when the courier was asked to leave and instead attacked Dan, punching him repeatedly and knocking him to the floor before three staffers pulled the guy off. A person of interest was taken into custody, Dan was treated at the scene, and Uber has since booted the driver from the platform.

That would normally be the end of it. Instead it's Wednesday and the office still hasn't moved on. Dan has become a folk hero, coworkers are re-litigating who would and wouldn't have thrown hands, and the whole thing has spilled onto multiple podcasts as a genuine debate about what you're supposed to do when a coworker is getting jumped.

That debate got real on rone's gamblin corner, where the host said flatly he wants no part of being filmed if it ever happens to him — a pointed jab at the instinct to pull out a phone instead of stepping in.
