Big Cat Can't Stop Winning The Cubs 50/50

Days after his first big check, Big Cat hit the Cubs 50/50 raffle again and immediately declared himself a two-time winner.

Big Cat's Cubs 50/50 obsession is no longer a one-time fluke. Just days after Cubs Charities handed him a $54,035 oversized check at Wrigley Field for his first win, he was back in the concourse celebrating another winning ticket.

Big Cat's live selfie video from Wrigley showed a stadium screen flashing a winning raffle ticket number just as he called the game itself "gross."

The game on the field wasn't the story. Whatever was happening between the lines got completely overshadowed by the ballpark screen lighting up with another "Thanks for playing" notice, and Big Cat and his crew treating it like the real headline of the night.

He wasted no time making it official, insisting on new terms of address going forward and pledging the payout to his guy Lavont rather than pocketing it himself.

Big Cat declared himself a two-time 50/50 winner and said the winnings were going straight to Lavont.

Please address me as a TWO time 50/50 winner going forward. Also all winnings are going to my guy @LavontSr and https://t.co/90VJnQU6Xy I’m just in this for the love of the game, and I LOVE this game

That's the kind of gesture that plays well with a fanbase that watched him wave a giant check around Wrigley just days earlier and turn it into a whole bit. He's already promising to keep waving at every future big check night, which tracks for a guy who just found a new hobby he's undefeated at.

Two wins inside of 100 games between them is the kind of run that gets flagged as statistically absurd anywhere else, and the timeline naturally raised eyebrows about whether something other than luck is at play.

The obvious question got asked out loud: does twice in under 100 games count as a heater?

Twice in less than 100 games in between for a 50/50 counts as a heater, right?

For now it's just a very fun coincidence and a very good week for Lavont. Whether the Cubs' raffle gods keep smiling on Big Cat is anyone's guess, but after two wins in a matter of days, nobody at Wrigley is betting against him buying another ticket.
