Dave Portnoy calls Cowboys irrelevant losers on Fox show

TLDR: After the Packers beat Dallas 23-13 on Sunday Night Football, Dave Portnoy said on Wake Up Barstool that Fox keeps asking for more Cowboys talk, then called them irrelevant losers.
The Monday show opened on the Sunday night game, and Dave wasn't interested in recapping it like a normal analyst would.
I don’t know why we still get told to talk about the Cowboys. They’ve been irrelevant losers for a very long time
The game gave him plenty to work with. Green Bay led 17-0 at halftime at Lambeau. Jordan Love hit Matthew Golden for a 9-yard touchdown on the opening drive and later ran in a 1-yard keeper. Love finished 23 of 41 for 276 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Dak Prescott threw 54 times for 258 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 picks. Dallas has now lost 2 straight and sits at 2-4, while the Packers are 4-2 after starting 1-2.
Dave also said why the Cowboys keep coming up on the show at all. Per Portnoy, the people writing the checks want it that way.
“We get notes from the big boys at Fox, ‘you can never talk enough about the Cowboys’… Why?!” -Dave Portnoy
This isn't the first time he's talked about Fox's notes on air. Wake Up Barstool runs weekday mornings on FS1. In early October, Fox abruptly dropped Portnoy and Barstool from Big Noon Kickoff, and Dave blamed Ohio State and Ryan Day for pressuring the network. On the October 5 episode, he said network influence over what gets talked about is standard everywhere, not something unique to Barstool.
“Does ESPN not let the network talk about LeBron or the NFL or certain things? The answer is unequivocally yes, across the board on every major network.” – Dave Portnoy
So Dave is both pointing out the note and ignoring it on air, on the network that sent it. There's an obvious business reason for the note, and not everyone at Barstool thinks it's wrong. One reply on the timeline put it simply: put the league's marquee franchise on whenever you want and people will watch. The Cowboys are a ratings magnet whether they're 2-4 or 6-0, and every network knows it.
For now, Dave has a 2-4 Dallas team with a turnover-prone quarterback backing up his point. The real test is the next time Fox asks for a Cowboys segment and whether he does it or rants about having to. Either way, they're getting talked about.
