Barstool's gambling crew turns DK Casino into jackpot central

DraftKings Casino's rollout of Aristocrat Gaming's Lightning Link slots came with the kind of splashy launch treatment casinos reserve for their biggest bets, and Barstool's gambling crew got their own seat at the machines for it. Eddie and Rico Bo$co planted themselves at a Lightning Link cabinet and, within the same stretch of the broadcast, found themselves one coin away from a $105,665 jackpot. That's not a typo. Six figures, sitting on a single spin.

Rico summed up the vibe as it unfolded: Lightning Link was delivering, and the margins were razor thin. The energy matched the stakes of the moment, that flavor of casino stream where every spin either ends the run or extends the dream. It didn't land on that exact spin, but the crew wasn't walking away empty. As the session ticked toward its final quarter-hour, the numbers got specific and competitive.

That kind of head-to-head scoring is exactly what these Barstool Gambling casino nights are built around, turning a night of slot pulls into an actual competition with a leaderboard. Once that heat cooled off, the spotlight shifted to Marty Mush and Ria, who took their own crack at the machines for the Lightning Link launch. Marty wasn't shy about the stakes either, flagging a shot at a $52,000 hit as it developed.

The 52K chase didn't quite get there, but Marty and Ria didn't leave with nothing to show for it. Not long after, the pair connected on a four-figure hit that got the whole stream buzzing, reportedly in the neighborhood of $750 on the Lightning Link reels.

That the launch drew this kind of activation makes sense given how big a swing this is for DraftKings Casino. The operator brought in slots influencer Brian Christopher to headline the Lightning Link debut with a livestream from Foxwoods Resort Casino, part of a rollout hitting Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ontario with IRL events built around the game. Barstool's crew running their own parallel chase for six figures fits right into that promotional push, and going by how close Eddie and Rico came to $105K before Marty and Ria started stacking hits, it's a launch that delivered the drama DraftKings was hoping for.
