He stood up and took a step toward the court before security and a handful of Sky players wedged themselves between the two. He was walked out of the building shortly after.
This wasn't a random guy heckling from the stands. Kanter Freedom has been running a weeks-long stunt tied to comments from Fever guard Sophie Cunningham about protecting women's sports, going as far as declaring himself eligible for the 2027 WNBA Draft as a mocking jab at the league's eligibility rules. Whatever you think of the bit, Sunday was the first time a player actually engaged with him in the building instead of letting it play out online.
