Dante The Don, who works as a marketing and entertainment partner across the Good Night John Boy bar network, posted that St. Pete's edition of the contest happened the same night the crew was set to run it back at the Delray Beach location. That's not a one-off — the Delray bar hosted the very first Gong Show Karaoke Night back in June with a $500 grand prize, and it's clearly become a recurring bit the brand keeps rolling out city to city.
Then came the real news. Less than an hour after posting the St. Pete recap, Dante turned his attention north and declared enough was enough — Chicago is getting its own Gong Show Karaoke event this fall. He tagged @johnboychi directly, pointing at the Good Night John Boy location that's already open and running on Randolph Street in the West Loop.
