Mike Katic hits a hole in one on his golf simulator

TLDR: Mike Katic of Big Boys Club hit a hole in one from 140 yards on his home golf simulator Wednesday morning, and his own security camera caught the whole thing.

Katic says he was just hitting some shots from 140 when one went in. He posted the proof himself.

Was just hitting some shots on the simulator from 140 yds and hit a hole in one! Juiced

Let's get the asterisk out of the way: this is a simulator. There's no course, no witnesses signing a scorecard and no bar tab owed to the clubhouse. A sim ace from 140 still counts for something, though. The software tracked it, the camera filmed it, and the guy who hit it was "Juiced." That's more evidence than half the real holes in one your uncle claims he made in 1997.

The security-cam angle is what makes it. You don't get a slick broadcast replay. You get the timestamped, grainy shot from up in the corner of the room, which is the only honest way to film a sim ace. It's the same view you'd get if you were checking the house cameras to see who left the garage open.

Katic needed a win this week. He's one of the 4 voices on Big Boys Club with T-bob, Dana Beers and Ella, and the show bills him as a retired D1 college football player. Lately, though, he's been taking the kind of beating from his own corner of the internet that only Barstool personalities get.

Katic’s struggles continue to mount

That's the roast in a sentence. "Struggles continue to mount" is the mock-serious, sportswriter way of saying a Barstool guy is getting clowned, and it came on a clip from the Halloween set. We're not going to guess what the struggle actually was. When the bar is a running joke about your struggles, though, a 140-yard ace on your own sim is a pretty good reply.

Big Boys Club puts out new episodes on Thursdays, so expect this to come up on air. The real question is whether the crew gives him credit for it or spends the segment arguing over whether a sim ace counts. Knowing that group, it's going to be the second one.
