Steven Cheah bets Brewers -1.5 to sweep Rays in Game 4

TLDR: Steven Cheah's Quick Pick for World Series Game 4 is Brewers -1.5, backing Milwaukee to win by 2 or more tonight and finish off a sweep of the Rays.

Milwaukee is 1 win from the first title in franchise history, and Cheah isn't hedging. His read is short and sweet.

For anyone who doesn't live on a sportsbook app, -1.5 is the run line. Cheah doesn't just need Milwaukee to win. He needs it by at least 2. That's a bigger ask than the moneyline, but it pays better, and the way this series has gone, you can see why he likes it. The Brewers took Game 3 10-1 on Monday night, and the damage came from an 8-run fifth inning, all of it with 2 outs. Per ESPN, that made the Brewers the first team to score 8 two-out runs in a single World Series inning.

This isn't a bandwagon pick, either. Cheah has been on the Brewers for weeks. Back on the October 16 Quick Picks, he was breaking down a Brewers-Dodgers game where he figured Los Angeles had its comeback brewing, and Milwaukee just kept grinding.

Cheah isn't the only one at Barstool riding Milwaukee tonight. Mintzy went bigger with a boosted World Series parlay at DraftKings. He didn't list the legs in the tweet, so all we've got is the price and his attitude about it.

There's real history on the line too. Milwaukee hasn't been this close to a title since Game 6 of the 1982 World Series, which it lost. Its last trip to the Fall Classic ended in heartbreak. A win tonight would also be MLB's first World Series sweep in 14 years. First pitch is 7 p.m. CT at Tropicana Field, where the Rays are trying to avoid becoming the first team since 2012 to get swept in the World Series.

The danger with a run line in a clincher is obvious. Teams facing elimination tend to make it ugly, and a 1-run Brewers win would mean champagne in Milwaukee and a loss for Cheah. Still, the way this lineup has been stringing hits together, 2 runs of cushion doesn't feel like much. If the Brewers keep chipping away like Cheah has been saying all month, he cashes and Milwaukee finally gets its parade.
