OhioTate's Chalktober survives the Browns' loss to the Jets

TLDR: OhioTate put $245.38 on the Browns going over 7.5 points on Chalktober 11th, sweated a scoreless stretch in the rain, and cashed when Cleveland got to 12 in a 17-12 loss to the Jets.
Chalktober runs on one rule: find a heavy favorite on the DK app and ride it every day. On the 11th, OhioTate went back to the bet that started the whole month.
“Sometimes you gotta go back to actually move forward” I started Chalktober with taking the Browns to score more than 7.5 points On this historic Chalktober 11th, I will be doing the exact same thing Browns OVER 7.5 is the play $245.38 to win $269.91
Browns team total over 7.5 is about as chalky as it gets. Score a touchdown and a field goal and you're home. Earlier that morning he had been asking the replies for the best -1000 or greater plays, so this was a guy short on time going back to what worked on day 1. Cleveland walked into MetLife with an offense that had looked fine the week before and the Jets were coming off a game where their offense barely had the ball.
“I said the Browns minus three on the road. Jets one and a half to two point favorites. Are you kidding me?”
That was VSiN on 2026-10-05, already irritated with the line before anybody knew it would pour. The Browns had 3 points in the 1st quarter and 3 in the 2nd, which meant they were 2 points short at halftime. Then nobody scored for the whole 3rd quarter, and by the 4th Tate was posting the slip like a hostage photo.
Chalktober appears to be in serious danger. We need 2 points in the 4th quarter. But it’s pouring down rain and there hasn’t been a point scored since 10 minutes to go in the 1st half.
He wasn't the only one losing his mind. Browns fans watching the offense stall in the slop were ready to blame everyone: the line, the receivers, the run game, the quarterback.
The #Browns blowing up all of their momentum with a gross loss to the Jets (I don’t care if it’s raining) would be bad. Awful offensive line play. Bad drops. Wonky reads from Watson & bad sacks. Penalties. Atrocious run game. Yuck.
A sack on 3rd and 30 is about as bad as a 4th quarter gets when you need 2 points. But Cleveland finally found the end zone. Deshaun Watson went 14-for-28 for 151 yards and a touchdown, the Browns put up 6 in the 4th, and they finished with 12. They lost the game 17-12 and the Jets' run game won it, but the team total only cared about the 12. Over 7.5 cashed.
So the streak lives, thanks to a game that will never make a Browns highlight package. Chalktober has 20 days left and Tate still needs a play every one of them. Day 1 and day 11 were both the same Browns over, and it still almost broke him.
