Tate's Aston Villa over keeps Chalktober alive

Wednesday's card was thin, so Tate went looking for help. Big Cat said Champions League, the top liked reply was a Champions League play, and that settled it.

The stars have aligned. Big Cat says Champions League while the #1 liked response is a Champions League Play. I got in a little late at -1400, but it’s Chalktober the play for tonight. Aston Villa / Viking over 1.5 goals $630.48 to win $675.51 🎃
Do the math on that slip. At -1400, $630.48 brings back $675.51, so the profit is about $45. Nobody plays Chalktober for the money, though. The whole bit is laying huge juice on near-locks every day in October and hoping the streak doesn't die on a fluke. One bad night ends it, and that's the entire reason anyone watches. Tate even admitted he got in late at -1400, which tells you how sure the market was that 2 goals would show up at Villa Park.
Before a ball got kicked, Tate had already found a villain for the month. He named Jack McCarthy Public Enemy #1 of Chalktober, and his post didn't need to say much more than that.
Big Cat, who started the soccer idea and has said he knows nothing about soccer, joined in later that afternoon and went after Jack directly.
The game itself was never really in doubt. Ross Barkley headed Villa in front in the 23rd minute, and Emi Buendia scored a penalty in the 37th. That was the over cashed before halftime. A Henrik Heggheim own goal and a late Peter Christiansen goal for Viking finished it 3-1. Villa are now 3-0 in the league phase, tied with PSG on 9 points and second in the table, so Unai Emery's side ended up being about as close to chalk as a European night gets.

DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES??? Aston Villa vs Viking OVER 1.5 goals hits ✅ “Whoa, ohhhhh, we’re two thirds of the way there!” We will see you TOMORROW for Chalktober 22nd 🎃
So Tate takes his roughly $45 and his "two thirds of the way there" victory lap into October 22, still alive. The cushion doesn't get any bigger from here. Every day left in the month means laying another few hundred dollars to win pocket change, and he started this one admitting he had nothing he trusted. Expect him to go crowd-sourcing again. If the next pick comes from anyone near Jack McCarthy, that's going to be its own storyline.
