Portnoy hits Rico Bosco with a Pick Em Week 7 dummy alert

The Week 7 plays had barely gone up when El Pres decided the episode's best moment was somebody on the panel sounding dumb.

Rico didn't let it sit. He reposted the same clip 2 minutes later with his defense, "Mishear! It's a mishear!", which is about as close as you get to raising your hand and admitting the siren was for you. The clip doesn't show exactly what got said that set it off, so the rest is up to the replies. What it does show is the usual Pick Em setup: 3 guys who all think they're the sharpest one in the room, and Dave ready to clip the second somebody stumbles.

This is just how Rico's week goes on that show. Two weeks ago he went on House Call with Jerry and Terry and said the pile-on is basically the whole format.

He's not wrong. On a show where Dave's biggest weapon is a 30-second clip and a siren emoji, Rico is the easiest target. He's loud, he's sure of himself, and he never backs down from a bit, which is why his first move was to argue about what he actually said and not to take the L. "Mishear" is a classic Bosco answer: no apology, just a claim the tape is wrong.

Meanwhile the actual picks are out, and the whole crew is on the record. Rico's on Kansas State laying 4.5, Big Cat is laying a big number with Oregon State, and Dave is taking the points with the Badgers.

So that's the real scoreboard for the dummy alert. Rico can yell mishear all he wants, but the only thing that ends it is K-State covering. If the Wildcats come through, he gets to throw it back in Dave's face on next week's show. If they don't, Dave's clip gets a sequel and Rico gets to say the line from House Call one more time.
