Barstool's Intern Olympics turns from bit to injury report

The lineup mixed dumb physical stunts with genuinely brutal trivia. One bit had interns gassed from exertion and then dropped straight into a Yak Grab Bag quiz, and the result was about what you'd expect from a group of exhausted 22-year-olds trying to name Jell-O flavors on a countdown clock. A separate round tested them on actual Barstool history, and it did not go well.

Somewhere in the chaos, an intern named Simon Mann became the breakout star of the night, cycling through a face-in-a-fruit-bin endurance bit and a round of musical chairs while the crowd rallied behind him. That's the appeal of these Barstool live events in general — half competition, half improv show, and the bits only work because everyone involved is actually going for it.

That's also the risk. These stunts look goofy on stream, but the physical toll is real, and eventually someone pays for it. That someone Tuesday night was an intern named Weber.

According to Mintzy, Weber's ankle came back with a fracture below the joint. It's stable and doesn't require surgery, but one of the three X-rays reportedly showed some displacement, which is why the plan now is close monitoring over the next few weeks rather than a clean bill of health. Not a season-ending injury for an intern, obviously, but not nothing either.
