Surviving Barstool Season 5 Episode 3: Producer Destroys Player's Strategy

By JR·1 min read

TLDR: Two councils, two idols and one of them fake. The trick Marty Mush ran in episode 2 paid out here — for somebody else — and the man who played the fake got voted out holding it.

Lying in confessionals is CRAZY work

The Impostor idol Dana Beers was handed was worthless by design: it only paid out if it was passed on and played. Marty carried it to Meek Phill, Meek played it at the Snake council, Jeff ruled it was not an immunity idol — stopping to note it was Meek's fourth of the season — and Meek was voted out anyway. That is what triggered the payout, and Dana was called out of the room to collect a real idol minutes before his own tribe's council.

He then walked into that council and swore on his mother and on nine years at the company that he had never had an idol, which is the sort of thing that is only a lie in a game.

That was probably the best and most fun challenge I’ve ever done on one of these shows PS: winning immunity is so awesome #SurvivingBarstool

Meek had been kept alive an episode earlier as a shield, swung at Rone and missed. Marty, Rone and Glenny had the numbers locked before the vote and told him so straight.

The tally on the season page is 3-1 and not the 2-1 the auto-captions gave: the captions caught three of the four cards being read, and the fourth is on the tape.

There’s a Drake lyric for every #SurvivingBarstool episode And with 12 left, we are both #StillHere

The Rat plan was to blindside Dana Beers with Hannah Montoya as the safety valve. Nicky Smokes did not write the name he said he would, for the second council running, and it landed 3-2 on the player two separate rooms had already named as the tribe's weakest link.

The Rat plan was to blindside Dana Beers. The vote split instead — Nicky Smokes did not write the name he said he would — and it landed on the player already named as the tribe's weakest link in two separate rooms.

Twelve left at the end of it, and the two tribes that had done the voting were about to stop existing.
