Surviving Barstool Season 5 Episode 3: Producer Destroys Player's Strategy
A grueling vase-stacking challenge reshuffled the power dynamics as alliances fractured in the wake of the Nick Turani blindside, sending 2 more players home.
Blindside fallout reshapes every alliance
Lying in confessionals is CRAZY work
The episode opened with raw reactions to Nick Turani's elimination. John Feitelberg called Nicky Smokes untrustworthy and vowed never to work with him again, while Nicky Smokes insisted the flip was justified because Nick Turani had lied about Dana Beers holding an idol. Dana Beers, who does hold an idol, kept that fact hidden and told Nicky Smokes he had no idol — a lie that deepened the paranoia.
Nicky Smokes moved quickly to lock in a new 4-person alliance with Tate, Hannah Montoya, and Dani Jackel, openly mapping out an endgame where he could beat less-established players at a final tribal council. Meanwhile, Dana Beers pitched himself as a willing partner to anyone who would listen, and Marty Mush kept up his fake limp to conceal the hidden immunity idol he had already earned through a completed mission.
Vases Loaded and the Beersy Special

The immunity challenge, called Vases Loaded, required each tribe to relay 5 differently shaped vases down a line of players using long poles, then stack all 5 on a single platform. Roach tribe built an early lead behind crisp communication from Tommy Smokes and John Feitelberg, while Snake tribe struggled badly with their first vase before clawing back to a tie. Every tribe hit a wall on the final irregularly shaped pieces, with players' forearms and wrists breaking down from the sustained grip.
Dana Beers improvised a horizontal passing technique — holding the poles flat like a plate — that got Rat tribe's 4th vase placed and was immediately copied by every other tribe. It was not enough: John Feitelberg placed the 5th vase for Roach tribe, survived the 5-count, and sealed immunity. Rat tribe and Snake tribe headed to tribal council.

On the Snake side, Rone, Glenny Balls, and Marty Mush held a firm 3-person alliance and told Meek Phill directly that he was the target. Meek Phill had been sitting on fake idols all game, and with no real leverage, he was voted out 3-1.
Rat tribe's vote was messier. The plan among Nicky Smokes, Tate, Dani Jackel, and Hannah Montoya was to split votes between Dana Beers and Hannah as a precaution in case Dana played an idol. But Nicky Smokes voted for Hannah Montoya instead of Dana Beers, flipping the split and sending Hannah home 3-2 — an unintended result that left even her own allies stunned.
Who went home
Meek PhillVoted out 3-1
Kept alive in episode 2 as a shield, then swung at Rone and missed. Marty, Rone and Glenny had the numbers locked before the vote. He played the fake idol Marty handed him — his fourth of the season, which the host stopped to note — and it was ruled not an immunity idol.
Hannah MontoyaVoted out 3-2
The Rat plan was to blindside Dana Beers. The vote split instead — Nicky Smokes did not write the name he said he would — and it landed on the player already named as the tribe's weakest link in two separate rooms.
