Big Cat, PFT sweat Week 6 in the Barstool Gambling Cave

TLDR: Big Cat, PFT and the Barstool Chicago crew sweated the Week 6 Sunday slate in the Gambling Cave, with nearly 16,000 people tailing a 15-1 parlay that was going for 3 cashes in a row.

Steven Cheah's Gambling Cave parlay hit the last 2 Sundays, and he was not keeping quiet about the third try.

That's a lot of people on one ticket. Over 15-1 straight up and past 20-1 with a DraftKings boost is the kind of number that turns a casual Sunday into a group sweat. Cheah had been building this up since Friday's Quick Picks, where he called it the either-or touchdown parlay. He also said the odds had come down a bit from earlier weeks because injuries stayed away 2 weeks running, and that people around the office were begging to get a leg in.

“Everyone is chomping at the bit for this. I got texts unsolicited like two days ago.” – Steven Cheah

Then the Bears gave the Chicago-heavy couch exactly the start it wanted. Caleb Williams was back after missing 3 weeks with a hamstring injury from Week 2, and on the opening drive he hit Colston Loveland for a 14-yard touchdown. The Cave was up 7-0 before most of the room had finished breakfast.

Chicago didn't let up. D'Andre Swift finished a 9-play, 59-yard drive with a 4-yard run and the Bears were up 14 in the 1st quarter against Atlanta. The room's reaction was oddly flat for a Bears crew watching its team cruise. Maybe that's what Bears fans look like when they're scared to jinx it.

By the 2nd quarter, the DraftKings ticker on the studio screen had Chicago 14, Atlanta 7, New England 10, New York 3 and Tampa Bay 13, Pittsburgh 0, which explains why the guy in the Steelers gear wasn't celebrating. That's also when the best bit of the day showed up. Rico Bosco had apparently been chewing on his highlighter, and according to the joke, nobody told him the ink had ended up all over his face.

This is what the Gambling Cave does best: a dozen people on leather couches, a whiteboard, a parlay half the internet is riding, and somebody who ends up the punchline. The Bears went into halftime up 21-7. What matters now is whether Cheah's ticket gets to 3 in a row. If it does, those 16,000 tailers are going to expect a fourth next Sunday, and Cheah will have no trouble finding volunteers for legs.
