Chef Donny's costume steals The Yak's Halloween show

TLDR: The Yak went live Friday, October 30 with a Halloween costume contest and a set covered in cobwebs, and Chef Donny's old-timey lollipop-kid outfit, red-bow shoes included, became the clip of the day.
Big Cat had the show live just after noon ET, and the whole crew came dressed for it, with caution tape and fake cobwebs hung across the set.
A Buzz Lightyear and a Cat in the Hat get you in the door, but that's about it. The costume people kept clipping was Chef Donny's: a brown cap, a brown vest and shorts, a padded white belly, knee socks, shoes with red bows and a giant swirl lollipop. The show didn't just let it sit there, either. It ran the costume next to the animated character it copies, and the match is close.
It's the shoes, every time. One fan clip turned the costume into a guessing game: it pans slowly down from the newsboy cap and knickers to the white knee socks and black Mary Janes with red bows, and that's where the joke lands. We'll leave the guessing to you as well.
It wasn't all about the costume. At one point the show pulled up Chef Donny's old posts, searching X for a February 2024 'Fog friday >' tweet set over a fog video lit in blue, so naturally the Halloween episode turned into Fog Friday. The 'party bus full of guys' line in the caption is the poster's summary of a bit from the show, and the clip itself doesn't show it.
None of this is new for Chef Donny. Barstool put out a full 'Very Best Of Chef Donny On The Yak' compilation for the first half of 2026 and asked whether Donny was the guest of the year. A costume like this, with that much care put into the footwear, makes that case pretty well.
Big Cat billed the episode as a Halloween contest, and the official results weren't public when this was posted. If the judging goes by what people shared, though, the red-bow shoes are tough to beat. Watch for the full episode clips this weekend, and for whether the other contestants admit they lost to a lollipop.
