Game of Stools Drops S3E2 Recap After Gullet Goes Nuclear

The Game of Stools crew went live after House of the Dragon's most chaotic episode yet to sort through the carnage — and they brought the energy.

House of the Dragon S3E2 delivered what fans have been waiting for: the Battle of the Gullet, one of the most brutal naval engagements in Westerosi history, now rendered in full HBO spectacle. When the credits rolled, the Game of Stools guys — RobbieBarstool, TheClemReport, KFCBarstool, and BrendanClancy — were already spinning up to go live and break it all down. They had a lot to work with.

BING BOB: The Game of Stools crew will be LIVE after #HouseOfTheDragon tonight to recap the Battle of the Gullet fallout!

The Battle of the Gullet doesn't leave much room for casual reactions. It's a bloodbath, and it apparently had RobbieBarstool in his feelings in ways he wasn't entirely prepared for. His confession on the #trusttree — that the dragon drowning hit harder than Jace's death the week before — is exactly the kind of unhinged honesty that makes this show a content machine. Jace is a main character. The dragon is a dragon. And yet.

I was way more sad about the dragon drowning than Jace last week #trusttree

Clem, for his part, leaned all the way into the crew's self-aware chaos energy, describing Game of Stools as "the Sheepstealer of Thrones podcasts" — a reference to the feral, unbonded dragon in HOTD lore that nobody really controls. It's a perfect bit of self-deprecation from a group that has made a brand out of being passionately clueless. Being the Sheepstealer is actually a compliment if you think about it. That dragon survived everything.

We are cooking tonight despite being relatively clueless. We are the Sheepstealer of Thrones podcasts

The full recap landed shortly after the live show wrapped, posted under the title "Battle of the Gullet Fallout." For HOTD fans who want to experience the episode through people who actually care but also might be wrong about half of it, Game of Stools has carved out a real lane. The Sheepstealer metaphor does a lot of work — this isn't the prestige breakdown, it's the rowdy watch party version, and that's the whole point.
