Pardon My Take cheers up Hank after Patriots lose to Bears

TLDR: The Bears beat the Patriots 30-24 on Thursday Night Football, and the next morning Pardon My Take spent the show cheering up Hank with a gift under his seat and new Hank dog toys.

Hank is the Patriots fan on the PMT couch, and Thursday night was rough for him. So the boys left a little something under his seat.

In order to cheer Hank up we had a surprise for him under his seat

For a Pats fan, a green helmet is not much of a pick-me-up. That's the joke. You lose on national TV and your co-hosts hand you something that looks like it came from the Jets' gift shop. The Bears side of the studio was clearly having a much better morning.

The game itself was a gut punch for New England. Caleb Williams threw for 308 yards and 2 touchdowns, Luther Burden went for 130 yards and a score, and Chicago moved to 5-2 while the Patriots dropped to 4-3. It was the second meeting between Williams and Drake Maye, the 2024 draft classmates, and Maye won the first one 19-3 when they were both rookies. This one went the other way.

It stings a little more because a couple of weeks ago, Pats fans at Barstool were looking at the schedule like a buffet. On Wake Up Barstool on 2026-10-05, Dave Portnoy went through the next stretch for New England, and he did flag Chicago as the tough one.

“The Jets stink, win, Bears very tough, Dolphins, Packers win. That's guaranteed four out of the next five.” – Dave Portnoy

So Dave saw it coming, kind of. Hank's problem started before kickoff, though. On PMTV, he explained that he ended up buying tickets to the Bears game for @drakemayeloverr because he thought @NFLtapeWatch was sabotaging him. A Pats fan buying his way into the building for somebody else, all over a tape-watch conspiracy, and then watching his team lose. Brutal week.

Of course, a sad Hank is also a good time to sell things. Big Cat spent the morning pushing limited-edition Hank farting dog toys, and PFT Commenter did quality control with an actual dog.

The reviews are in. New Hank doll is a smash hit t.co/cf8ajWgcDZ

That's PMT in a nutshell. The guy is down about his team, so his co-hosts give him a green-helmeted figurine and then sell squeaky versions of him for dogs to chew on. The Patriots are 4-3 with a lot of season left. Hank's merch line is apparently 1-0.
