Mintzy cashes Ole Miss as Rebels rout Auburn 45-15

The bet started with a line move Mintzy didn't trust. Saturday morning he was asking why Ole Miss had dropped 3 points, and 10 minutes later he was in.

Ended up adding Ole Miss when line dropped 3 points. Dont love early kick but can’t tolerate the disrespect in the Vaught like Mizzou 2 weeks ago all over again
That's the Mintzy betting philosophy in one tweet. He doesn't love the early kick, but if the market is going to disrespect the Rebels in their own building, he's taking the points it hands him. The Mizzou reference is his own scar tissue from 2 weeks ago, and he wasn't about to sit out a repeat.
For 30 minutes it looked like the market might have known something. Ole Miss went into the half up only 14-9, nowhere near covering 10.5, and Mintzy filmed a halftime selfie take from outside a bar. Big Cat quote-tweeted it, and he wasn't there to talk about Ole Miss football. He brought up a cat allergy instead, and the sympathy wasn't real.

Ole Miss 14 Auburn 9 Half OL wrecking shop, 3rd down Defense atrocious. Some good some bad. Rebs gonna run it down their throat in 2nd half #HottyToddy
Then the second half happened. Trinidad Chambliss took over, accounting for 3 second-half touchdowns, including a 26-yard run that put the Rebels up 24-15. He followed it with 4th-quarter touchdown passes to Caleb Cunningham and Horatio Fields, and Deuce Knight, an Auburn transfer, put the final nail in with a 17-yard touchdown run against his old team. Ole Miss closed on 4 unanswered touchdowns and poured 21 points into the 4th quarter alone.
Chambliss finished 22-of-34 for 263 yards with 2 touchdowns and a pick, and added 65 rushing yards on 7 carries. He has now thrown a touchdown pass in 21 straight games, 1 off Chad Kelly's school record. So a 10.5-point line that looked shaky at the break got covered by nearly 20.
Ole Miss is now 6-2 and 4-2 in the SEC, while Auburn falls to 4-4 and 2-4 and has lost 3 straight to the Rebels. The bigger takeaway for Mintzy is that grabbing the 3-point drop was the right read, and the roast didn't age well. Next time the line moves against the Rebels in the Vaught, expect him to jump on it again, and expect Big Cat to show up in his mentions either way.
