Brandon Walker says cookies are a snack on the Yak

TLDR: Brandon Walker told the Yak on Tuesday that cookies are a snack, not a dessert, and the studio argument that followed spread across Barstool's accounts within minutes.
The question was simple enough that everybody on set had an opinion, which is exactly how a Yak segment gets out of hand.
Brandon's position is that cookies are a snack. That means a cookie is fair game at 2pm, in a lunchbox or straight out of the sleeve on the couch, and doesn't have to wait until after dinner. The other side says a cookie is sugar, it's baked and it's what you get after you finish your vegetables, so it's a dessert. Both camps were sure they were right, and nobody on the show moved an inch.
A longer cut of the same fight went up a couple of minutes later, sold like it was a bench-clearing brawl. It wasn't. It's a group of people in headphones arguing about baked goods into microphones, and that is the whole appeal.

Brandon is saying cookies are a snack, people disagreed and then… ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE!!!
This is Brandon's sweet spot. His food and holiday takes have a way of becoming whole segments. Almost exactly a year ago, an Oct. 29, 2025 episode went out under the title "Brandon Walker is Anti-Trick or Treating." Give him a harmless everyday topic and a position nobody else in the room holds, and the Yak has its next 10 minutes.
For the record, Brandon has a point. If a granola bar is a snack, so is an oatmeal raisin cookie. The dessert crowd is really arguing about the time of day, not the food. With Halloween 4 days out and the Yak's comment sections already split, don't expect this one to be settled by Friday.
