Big Cat and Jerry both lose Panthers vs. Packers bets

TLDR: Big Cat's over 47.5 and Jerry's Panthers +3.5 both lost Thursday night when the Packers beat Carolina 27-19 at Lambeau, a 46-point game that came up 1.5 short of the total.

There was no split in the Cave on Thursday Night Football. Both picks lost, and the Advisors put the result on the record.

Both of these were close. Green Bay won by 8, so Jerry's Panthers +3.5 was beaten by 4.5 points. Big Cat's over 47.5 had it worse: the game finished on 46 and missed by a field goal's worth of hope. The bets were down, but the stream was where the action was. Jerry was upstairs streaming for Bush, and Big Cat got into Jerry's own chat to mess with him while the Panthers-Packers game, FAU-North Texas and Blackhawks-Red Wings ran on the ticker downstairs.

Jerry is streaming for Bush upstairs and @BarstoolBigCat used his own chat to prank him

Jerry needed Carolina to stay close, and the Panthers' offensive line wasn't helping. Bryce Young went 23-for-41 for 209 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception, and he was sacked 6 times, the last one with 4 seconds left on the clock. Watching from the couches, the crew joked that the O-line seemed to be having a lot more fun than their quarterback.

Bryce Young out here fighting for his life and the O-line is SMILING. @raisingcanes

Green Bay looked good enough for Big Cat to start worrying about a team that still isn't at full strength. Jordan Love threw for 288 yards and 3 touchdowns, and the Packers moved to 5-3. They did it without Micah Parsons, who tore his ACL on December 14, 2025, and is still on the reserve/PUP list. Big Cat's take was that the Packers are already making him nervous about the North, and Parsons isn't even back.

Packers don’t even have Parsons back yet and it’s making Big Cat nervous for the North. @raisingcanes

Parsons may not be far off. Asked whether Parsons could practice next week, Matt LaFleur said "I sure hope so," which was a change from earlier answers. Once that 3-week practice window opens, the Packers' pass rush gets a lot scarier, and Bears fans who are already nervous have more to worry about.

The night ended with one last bit of hope. A late Jalen Coker touchdown pulled the Panthers within 1 score and got the Cave's parlay a little closer, which was all it took for the room to turn around in their recliners.

Is the cave parlay alive??? Jalen Coker with a late TD gets the boys a little closer

It wasn't enough. Carolina fell to 3-4, the total stayed under, and the Advisors sheet shows 2 red X's going into the weekend. Big Cat and Jerry still have Sunday's Cave parlay to get some of it back, and Big Cat now has a new reason to keep an eye on Green Bay.
