Jeremiah Fears cashes TrustTheData's over vs. Kings

TLDR: TrustTheData bet Jeremiah Fears over 24.5 points, rebounds and assists with 3 Pelicans guards out, and Fears cleared it in the 3rd quarter of a 123-106 win over the Kings.
The setup was simple: Dejounte Murray, Jordan Poole and Yves Mossi were all ruled out, and somebody had to run the Pelicans offense.

NBA Play 🏀 starting soon! Pelicans PG Jeremiah Fears OVER 24.5 combined PRA (-107) on @DKSports -Dejounte Murray, Jordan Poole, and Yves Mossi are all OUT - He cleared this number in his L5 games w/o those players (35.6 avg.) Risk: 1.07u To Win: 1u Trust the Data 🧠 #DKPartner
That's the whole thesis in one tweet. Fears had cleared 24.5 PRA in each of his last 5 games without those guys, averaging 35.6, and the line sat at -107 on DraftKings. With nobody else in the backcourt to take the ball out of his hands, it came down to minutes. The first quarter was a slow drip, 2 points, 2 boards and 3 assists in 8 minutes, but by halftime the bet was mostly done.

@NickGarberich32 @StevenCheah @DKSports GREAT HALF! 11-4-6! Keep it up Fears!
An 11-4-6 first half put Fears at 21 with 2 quarters to play. He needed 4 more. He got them before the 3rd quarter was over, and the celebration came with a receipt.

FEARS! EASY! 3RD QUARTER CASH ✅ Three in a row!! Trust the Data 🧠 #DKPartner We move to 5-5 (+1.93u) on the season 🏀

That's 3 straight winners and a 5-5 record on the season, +1.93 units. Not world-beating yet, but a.500 record in the green beats most NBA prop accounts in October. And Fears didn't stop at the number. According to ESPN's box score he finished with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists in 25 minutes, 40 PRA on a 24.5 line, as New Orleans won 123-106. Both teams came in 0-4, so somebody was getting off the schneid Thursday night.
The other half of the show was on the Sacramento side. Darius Acuff Jr., the Kings' No. 7 pick out of Arkansas, has been launching from day 1. Through his first 3 NBA games he took 73 shots, the most ever by a player through 3 career games. Big Cat has been on him all week, and on the Yak on 2026-10-27 he explained his entire betting plan for the rookie.
“I'm just gonna keep laddering his points until one night he hits them all.” – Big Cat
Against the Pelicans, he got close to that night. Acuff dropped 34 points on 13-of-23 shooting with 12 assists in 36 minutes, per ESPN, in a losing effort. That's a more efficient night than his first 3 games, and Big Cat did not hold back.
Dana Beers was right there with him once the stream came back up, and Steven Cheah summed up the whole night: a Pelicans-Kings game between 2 winless teams turned into appointment viewing because both young guards were cooking.

We are LOCKED into Pelicans vs. Kings. Jeremiah Fears and Darius Acuff are going nuts: t.co/93GArAqexH
What to watch next: the Fears number only works while Murray, Poole and Mossi sit, so the books will move it the moment any of them come back. Acuff is a different story. He's going to take 20 shots no matter who's healthy, and on nights like this one, Big Cat's ladder finally starts to look like a plan.
