Connor Mook signs new Telluride Bush deal for Season 2

TLDR: Connor Mook says he has signed a new deal and is locked in for Season 2 of Telluride Bush Gaming, and he thanked Big Cat right after the Barstool boss talked about the Bush's future.

The news came out in 2 posts about 8 minutes apart on Tuesday. First, the Bush account posted Rone and Big Cat talking about what comes next for the team.

Rone & Big Cat talk [BUSH] season 2 👀🌳

That is the clip that matters. Big Cat is the guy who signs the checks, and when he talks publicly about the state of the Bush, the people whose jobs depend on it are listening. Mook's contract was one of the things that update covered, and Mook didn't wait long to confirm how it turned out.

Update on Mook’s contract and talkin Bush: “I judge how the Bush is doing based on how many times Jerry’s trying to scam me and it’s high right now so I think Bush is doing well” -Big Cat t.co/WrNFZekU1N

So Mook has a new deal and he is staying for Season 2. He didn't post any terms, and nobody else has either, so the length and the money are unknown. What is known is the part fans care about most: one of the faces of the org is not going anywhere. Signing off with #BigLazy is also about as Mook as it gets.

Mook has been central to the Bush from the beginning. He has been one of the main voices pushing the team's content, including the Behind The [BUSH] videos, which have featured the whole team plus Big Cat and the GM Jace. That was the series fans used to catch up before the team went to the UK for Major 2. The Bush has always worked as half esports team, half Barstool show, and Mook is a big part of the show half.

This matters because Season 2 is when a passion project either becomes a real outfit or quietly goes away. Barstool has started plenty of side projects that didn't make it to year 2. When the boss goes on camera to talk about the Bush's future and then re-signs one of its core people, that is about the clearest sign there is that Season 2 is going ahead.

Still to watch: the rest of the Season 2 roster, plus where Lil Sas, Jersey Jerry and the players land. Big Cat's update hinted at more moves coming. For now, Mook is locked in, and Season 2 of the Bush has its first confirmed piece.
