Dante finds rotten trash at Barstool Backyard opening

TLDR: Dante's big Barstool Backyard opening in Chicago hit a smelly snag when he popped the lid on a trash can and found something he says smelled like rotting flesh.

The opening day came after months of Dante's backyard build. The first thing anyone saw from it was him gagging over a garbage can.

Dante got a rotten surprise for the official opening of the Barstool Backyard

So that's his diagnosis: fruit and baby oil. Nobody seems to know how those two ended up in the same can, and Dante doesn't explain it either. What we know is they sat there long enough to turn, and Dante lifted the lid on camera. The reaction says enough. You don't have to smell it to get it.

For anyone who missed it, the Backyard is Dante's baby. It's the outdoor space behind Barstool's Chicago office, and he's been building it out piece by piece for a while, with the dirt, the stairs and the rest of it all turned into content along the way. He once called the dirt that went into it 'Prison dirt + cemetery grass.' Viva TV caught him fixing the place up on the episode that dropped the same day, Episode 157.

That's the funny part. He spends months hauling in dirt and getting yelled at online about how good his grass is, and the official opening still turns into a gross-out bit. Pretty Barstool Chicago if you ask us.

It wasn't all rot that night, though. About 20 minutes after the trash can post, Dante posted something a lot nicer.

This little guy is the greatest

There is a new prince of the backyard. His name is Walter. And he loves finding sticks.

Hard to argue with him there. Whatever happens with the Backyard from here, it opened with 1 trash can nobody wants to go near. Somebody should probably empty it before the next taping.
