Jason Williams blames Peter Finch for Blue Team exit

TLDR: Jason 'White Chocolate' Williams used the November 3 Hoopin N Hollerin to blame Peter Finch's captaincy for the Blue Team's Internet Invitational exit, after Team Finch lost to Team Ruffels in a playoff following an 8-8 tie.
JWill played for the Blue Team, and he is not over how it ended. On the new episode, he laid out his case against his own captain.

JWill is PISSED about the job Peter Finch did as captain of the Blue Team in the Internet Invitational
Here is what he is mad about. Finch, one of the 4 captains voted in by the 64-man field and handed a 16-player roster to draft, faced Ryan Ruffels' White Team on Day 1. Regulation ended level at 8-8 and went to sudden death, where Team Ruffels moved on and Team Finch went home. Losing by nothing is the most annoying way to lose, and it gives everyone on the losing side a reason to look for someone to blame.
JWill's complaint is about the lineup, not the swings. In Heavy's write-up of the segment, he says Finch put his best golfers in the first 4 groups, which left the weaker players, JWill included, to carry the team home if those early matches went wrong. He also says Finch never asked him who he wanted to be paired with, and adds the shot that is getting all the attention: 'I think that was the first time he has ever captained anything.'
That is a bold one from a guy who says himself that he did not play well. He is not wrong that the margins were tiny, though. On Fore Play's recap of Episode 2, a voice describing a must-make putt on the final green said what everybody in the field felt by the end.
“The 18th green, everyone's looking at the board, every point matters so much.”
When every point matters that much, the batting order becomes the argument. Load the front and you can bank points early, but if the stars split their matches, the result rests on the guys at the bottom of the draft. That is the spot JWill ended up in, and he clearly thinks a captain who had run a team before would have seen it coming.
Most fans online are not buying it. The general reaction is that Finch's plan was fine, the players just did not deliver, and no captain owes a celebrity add-on a vote on the pairings. Still, it is great TV. Fans who know JWill as the guy who is always laughing on the couch say they have never seen him this worked up about anything, and golf did that to him.
The Invitational still has a lot left. It was filmed in August at Big Cedar Lodge in Missouri, with a pot of more than $4 million, and the episodes keep coming through November 12. The Blue Team is out, but this probably is not the last we hear about it. If Finch shows up anywhere with a mic, he will have a reply ready.
