Kelly Keegs quits Out and About, according to Pat

Pat sold the episode the way you'd sell a car crash: Kelly quit, Mintzy defended his tweets, and Kirk Minihane pulled a surprise in the middle of an interview.

Absolute banger of an @OutandAboutpod tonight. @kellykeegs quit the show, @StoolMintzy tried to defend tweets, and @kirkmin surprised @Trudell_DM mid-interview. Subscribe t.co/78YtZU1rPV

Take the word "quit" carefully. It's Pat's word, in a tweet telling you to subscribe, and nobody has explained what it means past that. It could be a real walkout, a bit that went too far, or a co-host blowing up for a minute before the next segment. A Barstool podcast promo calling something an "absolute banger" isn't proof the show is over, and nothing posted so far says Out and About is losing a host.

The best detail came from Kelly herself a few hours later. Apparently the hosts fought about the show's cameras for 15 minutes, which is a very podcast thing to fight about, and then it turned out nobody had pressed record.

The best part about our entire 15 minute fight about the cameras? We forgot to press record.

So the fight that sounds the most fun is the one fans will never see. Kelly hasn't said whether the camera argument and the quitting are the same story, so don't assume they are. All we have is her own account that a 15-minute argument about video quality vanished because the show's recording setup wasn't running.

The other half of the night was the guests. Pat thanked Kirk Minihane and @Trudell_DM for coming on, and according to Pat, Kirk surprised @Trudell_DM partway through their interview. Pat didn't say what the surprise was, so for now you have to watch the episode to find out.

The show has had a busy month. Out and About is where Kelly and Pat cover gossip and Barstool drama, so having the drama happen on the show itself kind of fits. What to watch now: whether Kelly is back in her chair next episode, and whether anyone finally remembers to hit record.
